HANOI Amazon.com is entering Vietnam, where it is seeking to cater to a fast-rising middle class. But it will face logistical hurdles and many rivals.
"Amazon is after Vietnam's 100 million market," said a local journalist covering the tech industry.
The U.S. e-commerce group -- whose founder and CEO Jeff Bezos recently became the world's richest person on Forbes' list -- will partner with the Vietnam E-commerce Association of online merchants, also known as Vecom, in the Southeast Asian country.
